The WINE sector is characterised by a great atomization of its production but also of its marketing. However, for a few years, we have been assisting to mergers and acquisitions of wine companies in all regions, leading to a change in the sector’s structure.

If there are some majr group, the French spirits’ industry consists in up to 90% of SMEs located in all French regions, including overseas territories. This territory network shows the diversity of know-hows, which leads to the production, in France, of more than forty different types of spirits, most of them exported abroad.
