United Kingdom is the second market for French wine and spirit exports, with more than 1.3 billion euros of exports, among which 1.1 billion for wines.

As State Member of the European Union, United Kingdom is a market that is relatively easy to access to, even if it has a quite penalising taxation for wines and spirits.

However, the decision to leave the European Union makes it difficult to have perspectives on this market in particular with the absence of clear decision on what will the future framework of commercial relations between the two partners be.

FEVS is very involved on the Brexit negotiations, in order to inform the exports of elements that must be anticipated if Britain leaves the European Union, in particular regarding customs and contractual matters.
